In deze presentatie zullen ontwikkelingen op het gebied van endocriene therapie voor mammacarcinoom worden besproken, en de mogelijkheden hierbij om bijvoorbeeld de androgeen receptor te benutten. 

💬 Biografie
Carolien Schröder, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist, with a focus on breast cancer, at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (AVL-NKI) Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is active in all aspects of patients care, teaching and scientific research. Her research focus is to explore novel rational treatment options to enhance therapeutic efficacy and personalized medicine, in interdisciplinary, translational research. She has particular expertise in molecular imaging of hormone-receptors, and rare breast cancer subgroups including male breast cancer and inflammatory breast cancer. She works on societal impact issues including smart de-escalation designs in elderly patients, implementation of (imaging) biomarkers, raising awareness in rare cancers, and gender payment gap. She has initiated and led studies from early phase- to multicenter (inter)national intervention trials such as the Dutch inflammatory breast cancer registry INFLAME, and the Dutch multicenter SONImage imaging study, using FES-PET to predict of CDK inhibition benefit. She was research fellow Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, and Dana Farber Cancer Center, Boston, U.S.A. She is supervising PhD students and has published over 125 scientific publications, including >25 publications as first or senior author (H-index 40). Her research has been supported by funding agencies such as Dutch Cancer Society. She is involved in (inter)national guideline development, is member of international research consortia, and invited speaker at (inter)national conferences.
