Prof. dr. Patrick Neven, UZ Leuven

🎤 Presentatie: ER+: SERDs, PIK3Kinhibitors
Anti-estrogens with or without CDK 4/6i save lives and delays breast cancer death in all stages of ER+ breast cancer.
However, resistance happens and some resistance mechanisms can be tackled; as such, we have new anti-estrogen therapy options targeting the ER.
We will discuss recent relevant clinical trials targeting the estrogen receptor to optimize endocrine therapy sequences.
We discuss the potential place of endocrine-based schedules including oral SERDs and options beyond CDK 4/6i in early and late stage breast cancer.
